Revisions after you receive your formatted files
IMPORTANT: This revision process is for the interior of the book only, based on the most recent file we have of your manuscript. If you’ve made changes to the file you received from us after we formatted it, there may be complications that result in needing to book a new formatting appointment.
Revisions:
These are minor changes to your file to correct a typo, spelling error, remove a word, insert a word, switch a period for a comma, etc. A revision is not removing and/or replacing whole paragraphs within the book, which would be considered a reformat.
If the revisions are formatting-related (e.g. a mistake on our part), please email us by responding to the email we sent you with your files with ‘Book Revision Request’ in the subject line, fill out this form, and we'll correct it for you. The first round of revisions of this type only are free of charge, but any other requests following will incur a fee.
To request a non-formatting related revision:
Please fill out this form. A quote and an estimated return date will be provided within two business days and will depend on the changes being requested. The minimum fee per file is $15.
Reformatting:
If there are more than 25 revisions, this will require us to reformat your book. Please respond to the email we sent to you with your files and place ‘Book Reformat Request’ in the subject line and we’ll do our best to get you onto the schedule.
Other:
All revisions will be made to the version of your manuscript that you submitted for formatting to avoid confusion or version discrepancies.
GCP will only keep your project files stored for one year. If you reach out to us for reformatting or revision after that, you’ll need to provide us with a fresh copy of your manuscript and a new formatting will be required.
